Evidence of accessibility work, not another scan report
The European Accessibility Act came into force on 28 June 2025. E-commerce providers are required to publish an accessibility statement. Annex is built for the agencies who have to keep that true across a portfolio of client sites.
What Annex does
Continuous scanning
Client sites are scanned on a schedule. Every time a site changes, its status is measured again — a scan from a year ago says nothing about today.
Platform-specific remediation
A finding is expressed in the language of the platform the site runs on: which file, which setting, which menu. Not an abstract criterion number, but a step someone can act on.
A dated record
Every scan is kept. Progress over time accumulates into a record that can be produced if anyone asks how the site is being maintained.
What it costs
Agency subscriptions start at €79 a month for five client sites, and are priced by how many sites you monitor rather than by seats or scan volume. Every plan includes the same features.
Not ready to pay for anything? The free scan tool runs the same rule engine on one page at a time, with no account.
WCAG criteria
- WCAG 1.1.1 — Non-text Content Every image that carries information needs a text equivalent; images that are purely decorative must be hidden from assistive technology.
- WCAG 1.3.1 — Info and Relationships Structure you can see — headings, lists, tables, form labels — must exist in the markup too, not be simulated with font size and colour alone.
- WCAG 1.4.3 — Contrast (Minimum) Body text needs a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background; large text (18.66px bold or 24px regular and above) needs 3:1.
- WCAG 1.4.4 — Resize Text Text must be able to scale to 200% without losing content or functionality.
- WCAG 2.1.1 — Keyboard Everything a customer can do with a mouse must also be possible with a keyboard alone.
- WCAG 2.4.2 — Page Titled Every page needs a unique title element that describes what the page is about.

What Annex does not promise
Annex does not guarantee compliance, and could not. Automated tests catch only a portion of accessibility issues; the rest needs human judgement. What Annex sells is that the work gets done on a schedule and that there is a record of it.
